Rate Limits
Separate from your credit balance, Builder also applies rate limits — caps on how many requests you can make in a given window, regardless of how many credits you have.
Why both exist
Credits govern what you're willing to pay for; rate limits protect the platform's stability for everyone by capping how fast any one account can send requests, independent of balance.
What's limited
Builder tracks generation requests (per hour and per day) and general API activity (per minute and per hour) separately. Your current usage against these limits is visible live in the builder — a compact badge shows "remaining" at a glance, and expanding it shows progress bars for each window, color-coded as you approach the limit.
If you hit a limit
If you reach an hourly or daily generation limit, Builder shows a clear notice and tells you when the limit resets — you don't lose credits for a request that was blocked by a rate limit.
Note Exact limit values aren't fixed in this documentation because they can be adjusted platform-side. Your live limits and current usage are always visible in the builder itself.
