Visual Editor

The visual editor lets you make direct changes to your site by clicking on it, instead of describing the change in a prompt.

Selecting an element

With the visual editor active, click any element in the live preview — a heading, a button, an image, a section — to select it. The style panel opens with controls scoped to that specific element.

What you can change

  • Typography — font family and size, from a curated set of presets.
  • Spacing — padding and layout spacing presets.
  • Color — swap an element's color using preset palettes.
  • Text — edit copy inline.
  • Images — replace an image directly from the selected element.

Theme panel

Beyond individual elements, the theme panel lets you swap the site's overall color family in one action — a deterministic recolor across the whole design system, not an AI rewrite, so it's instant and predictable.

AI-assisted edits

For changes that go beyond preset styling — a more open-ended visual instruction on a selected element — Builder can apply an AI-assisted transform when that capability is enabled for your account.

Undo

Visual edits can be undone, so it's safe to experiment with a style change and step back if it's not what you wanted.

Where else the visual editor appears

The same click-to-select editing experience also powers the Content, Theme, Assets, and Fonts tabs of the per-project Admin Panel, for a more structured editing pass after the initial build.
