Custom Domains

Deployed projects don't have to live on a generated subdomain — you can point your own domain at them.

Editable subdomain

Every deployed project gets a subdomain by default. You can edit that subdomain slug to something more memorable directly from your project's settings.

Connecting a custom domain

To use your own domain:

  1. Add the domain to your project.
  2. Builder returns the DNS records you need to configure at your domain registrar.
  3. Once your DNS changes propagate, verify the domain from within Builder.

A domain moves through a few states as this happens — pending while you're configuring DNS, then active once verification succeeds. If verification fails, Builder will indicate that the DNS configuration needs another look.

Multiple domains

A project can have more than one connected domain. If you have several, you can designate one as the primary domain.

Removing a domain

Domains can be disconnected from a project at any time from the same settings panel.
