Credits & Free Tier
Builder uses a credit system instead of a traditional subscription. There's no forced monthly plan — you pay only for what you actually build.
How credits work
- Generating a site, or having Builder make a change, consumes AI compute measured in tokens. Builder converts that usage into credits at a fixed rate of 1 credit = 10,000 tokens.
- New accounts receive free credits every month, automatically, with no credit card required.
- When you need more, you can buy a credit pack — a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
- Credits never expire. Unused credits carry over — there's no "use it or lose it" pressure.
Where to see your balance
- Your current credit balance and a usage progress bar are visible on the Billing page.
- While a generation is running, a live usage indicator shows the credits being spent on that specific build.
- A transaction history lists every grant, purchase, and debit against your account.
Buying more credits
From Billing, choose a credit pack and complete checkout (handled securely by Stripe). Your balance updates immediately after purchase, and you're returned to the builder to keep working.
Note Credits are separate from rate limits. Even with credits available, generation requests are also capped per hour and per day to keep the platform stable for everyone.
